- Benslow Music Instrument Loan Scheme
The Benslow Music Instrument Loan Scheme lends high quality orchestral stringed and woodwind instruments to young people aged between 7 and 25. Benslow's Musical Instrument Loan Scheme, now managing in excess of 600 borrowers, is by far the largest of its kind in the UK. The Scheme is the Trust's principal support for young people and an ideal balancing partner to its courses for adults. Benslow is the only UK registered Adult Residential College specialising in the provision of short practical courses for musicians of all disciplines, ages, talents, ranging from beginners to players of diploma standard. Fees are charged for attendance on the courses, but these are kept to a minimum and there are bursaries available for those in need. - Help Musicians UK
Help Musicians UK is the leading UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement.
We help at times of crisis, but also at times of opportunity, giving people the extra support they need at a crucial stage that could make or break their career.
We offer practical, positive support to emerging, professional and retired musicians – whatever the genre.
Specifically, we help emerging professionals to develop their talent and get started in a professional career. We help existing professionals who hit a crisis in their lives which can have a devastating effect on their career and families. We help with long-term or terminal illness and we help musicians in retirement and those needing special help as they grow older. - Hungry For Music
At Hungry for Music, our mission is putting quality musical instruments into hungry hands. We serve children who demonstrate a desire to learn music, as well as teachers who have students willing to learn.
In 24 years, we've delivered 11,000 instruments to children in 49 states and 25 countries.
We believe that by sharing instruments and musical experiences, children who would not otherwise have the opportunity can experience a kind of freedom and self-discovery that is often stifled in an atmosphere of economic hardship. - Loan Fund For Musical Instruments
The Loan Fund for Musical Instruments is a Charitable Trust, set up in 1979, and our principal objective is to assist young professional musicians to enable them to purchase high quality instruments, appropriate to their careers.
The Grant Scheme is designed to help students and young professional musicians from the beginning of their third year of full-time study until two years after the completion of their full-time course.
Preference is given to British Nationals and the Fund is particularly interested in supporting instrument makers resident in the United Kingdom. - Luthiers Sans Frontieres UK
Repairing stringed instruments & bows around the world Training violin and bow repairers around the world - The original LSF (LSF UK’s parent organisation) is a small international charity founded in Belgium in 2001. It began with a violin repair project run by two violin makers in schools in Havana, Cuba. From their experience it was clear that many talented musical children lack properly maintained instruments and bows. So LSF was set up to send trained violin and bow repairers to countries where these service are scarce. We send volunteers on short term missions to train violin and bow repairers in countries where these services are needed. We welcome new members, offers of violin/bow tools and materials (strings in packets, bow hair etc.), and donations to fund travel costs. - Music For All
